Human resources executives are not typically thought of as being CEO-ready, though they play a major role in setting policy on employee engagement, culture and diversity. The common perception is that HR is not viewed as a profit center and is perceived as a drain on profits. These executives tend to be defensive about what they do. HR needs to gain the ability to look critically at the problems facing their companies and come up with 21st century options that fit today’s world. Glenn G.
